We aim to improve the quality of life of all Islington residents who experience mental distress or are concerned about friends or relatives experiencing mental distress.
  • We strive to achieve this through the provision of a variety of services, listening to the views and wishes of people with mental health problems and their carers, and by liaising with other voluntary agencies, the Local Authority, and Camden and Islington Mental Health and Social Care Trust.
  • We are concerned with the maintenance of mental health through the promotion of preventative strategies. We also aim at guiding people towards recovery from suffering mental ill health or conditions of emotional or mental distress.
  • We are actively involved in aiding research into good quality mental health services that reflect the concerns and common interests of users, their families, service providers and members of the public.
  • We promote the importance of user participation and consultation at all levels of planning and delivery of mental health services.
