A new project – Enablement CovidRecovery – helping vulnerable communities manage the short and long-term implications of the Covid-19 crisis – is now offered by Islington Mind. This project is funded by the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.
The CovidRecovery project aims to address mental health and wellbeing challenges that our service users are presented with by the Covid19 pandemic and to help reduce hospitalisation and mental crises. Service users are supported to improve their financial security and social networks, tackling poverty, isolation, exclusion, and loneliness as well as build self-management, resilience and independence.
The CovidRecovery staff and volunteers will work to ensure service users maintain their physical and mental wellbeing, have access to basic needs such as food, finance and community connectedness.
IT training offers help to all, wherever required to access the technology essential to remain connected under the “new normal” conditions.
We take referrals from anyone who is an Islington resident and experiences mental health problems, who feels that the impact of Covid19 left them struggling and in need of additional support.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or use the Community Recovery and Crisis Enablement Service referral form at the left of the page if you know anyone who needs support.
Thanks to the Government for making this possible.
